To celebrate 200 years of KIT, we warmly invite you to a special Art | Summer | Technology gallery tour. The idea for a
special Gallery event comes from Ewald Schrade, owner of Galerie Schrade and an influential figure in Karlsruhe’s art scene – our heartfelt thanks to him!

We will meet on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Karlsruhe marketplace in front of the City Hall, together with:
Dr. Albert Käuflein, Mayor of Karlsruhe, responsible for Culture, Digital Affairs, and Public Order, Britta Wirtz, CEO of Messe Karlsruhe and Chair of the Friends and Patrons of art KARLSRUHE, Dr. Isabel Gallin, Project Lead of Art | Summer | Technology

Together we will set off by bike on an inspiring afternoon through Karlsruhe’s diverse gallery landscape. The format by bike is inspired by the Netherlands – where exploring art and city by bike is second nature. And Karlsruhe, with its excellent bike
infrastructure and vibrant cultural scene, is the perfect setting for it.

THE GALLERY TOUR

Group 1 will visit:
Gallery Schrade
Gallery Rottloff
Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe am Rondellplatz, featuring works by four students of the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe

Group 2 will explore the Südstadt galleries:
Gallery Burster
Gallery Yvonne Hohner Contemporary
Gallery PAW
Gallery Meyer Riegger

Afterwards: From 5:00 PM, both groups can reunite at Bistro Le Renard (Waldstraße 60) for an informal Get-Together – a relaxed setting to reflect, exchange ideas, and reconnect. Those who feel like rounding off the day in a relaxed setting are welcome.

And as a special extra: The neighboring bike shop Rad + Tat will be offering to mount an exclusive KIT Anniversary Bicycle Bell on your bike – while supplies last.

We look forward to seeing you – for art, movement, and connection!
Feel free to bring friends – and of course, a roadworthy bicycle!
